What Is Usability
Usability, a quality attribute, refers to the functionality of a user interface. By allowing
visitors to successfully navigate efficiently and effectively through your "website design,"
their satisfaction levels on viewing your information will ultimately lead to success.
Usability is multi-facited:
Ease of learning - How fast can new viewers understand the newly required
navigational tasks?
Efficiency of use - Once a user has navigated their way through the site, how fast
can they accomplish their tasks accurately: (ie. fillout forms, acquire consulting
services or view detailed information)
Memorability - Can a user rememberenough to be able to efficiently go to the next
page or stage without having to start the search all over again/
Subjective Satisfaction - How much does your user like your website? How long
did they stay engaged? Did they purchase the product? Was your viewer
adequately informed about your services?
